Wilus CEO Dr. Jin Sam Kwak received the Minister's prize from Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) on December 31, 2022.
The award recognizes the oustanding results achieved by Dr. Kwak and the Wilus team on several R&D projects supported by MSIT. Three major R&D projects run by Dr. Kwak - concerning Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and LAA development - were designated as 'excellent R&D projects'.
Based on those achievements in supporting the spread of standardized technologies, Dr. Kwak received the 'Research Achievement Award (연구성과유공자 장관표창)' from MSIT.
Wilus is pleased to announce that it is a founding member in Sisvel's new 5G Multimode (5G MM) patent pool. The 5G MM program offers a license to cellular standard essential patents up to and including 5G owned by Wilus and 13 other founding companies on fair and reasonable terms.

The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) designated Wilus as an 'Outstanding R&D Center (우수 기업부설연구소)' on November 21, 2022, in recognition of the company's excellent R&D capabilities and a commitment to innovation.
The 'Outstanding R&D Center' program is one of several MSIT support programs aimed at enhancing companies' technological competitiveness and fostering the development of corporate research operations that can drive future growth.
The designation will remain valid for three years.
